6.2 COMMUNICATION FAILURE COUNTER
This code is used to investigate intermittent problems with communications. The counters keep track of the number of times a
communications (UART) failure occurs.
1.
To enter this test, enter diagnostics and press the

button on the keypad and the [
ENTER
]
button.
The main display shown in
Figure 5.15
appears. The PPM display shows the dispenser is
in Diagnostics Level 6.2.
The number of communication failures that have occurred since the system was reset
(cold start) appears on the second line of the main display.

The counter can be zeroed by pressing a sequence of keys while the counter is displayed.

To zero the counter, press the following buttons on the keypad shown in
Figure 5.15
in
the sequence listed in step b.

Note:
After this three-button sequence is entered, the
counter displayed is cleared.

Press [
ENTER

to advance to the next counter or press the [
CANCEL
] button to exit this test.

] button twice to exit Diagnostics.
6.3 COLD START COUNTER
This code is used to tell the technician how many times a Cold Start has been performed on the dispenser.
1.
To enter this test, enter diagnostics and press the

button on the keypad and the [
ENTER
]
button.
The main display shown in
Figure 5.16
appears. The PPM display shows the dispenser
is in Diagnostics Level 6.3.
The number of Cold Starts that have occurred appears on the second line of the main
display.
2.
Press the [
CANCEL
] button to exit this test.
3.
Press the [
CANCEL
] button twice to exit Diagnostics.
6.4 EEPROM CHECKSUM FAILS
This code is used to tell the technician how many times the EEPROM checksum failed on the dispenser.
1.
To enter this test, enter diagnostics and press the

button on the keypad and the [
ENTER
]
button.
The main display shown in
Figure 5.17
appears. The PPM display shows the dispenser
is in Diagnostics Level 6.4.
The number of EEPROM Checksum fails that have occurred appears on the second
line of the main display.

Press the [
CANCEL
] button to exit this test.
3.
Press the [
CANCEL
] button twice to exit Diagnostics.
6.5 SOFTWARE RESTART S
This code is used to tell the technician how many times the software restarted on the dispenser.
1.
To enter this test, enter diagnostics and press the

button on the keypad and the [
ENTER
]
button.
The main display shown in
Figure 5.18
appears. The PPM display shows the dispenser
is in Diagnostics Level 6.5.
The number of Software Restarts that have occurred appears on the second line of
the main display.
2.
Press the [
CANCEL
] button to exit this test.
3.
Press the [
CANCEL
] button twice to exit Diagnostics.
