MENU CODE 14 – HOW TO SELECT PPM DISPLAY OPTIONS
The PPM display can be programmed to operate several ways. This Menu Code programs the operation of the PPM displays.
NOTE:
The default setting for all dispensers is Flash set at 1, Dash set at 0, Flip set at 0, and Digits is set at 1. This setting
allows the PPM displays to flash during the selection process and go blank when not selected.
DISPLAY OPTIONS
PROGRAMMING SELECTIONS
Flash -
PPM display for the Idle Hose
0 - The PPM displays are illuminated constantly in the idle mode.
1 - (Default) The PPM displays flash at 1-second intervals in the
idle mode.
Dash
- PPM display for the Unselected Displays
0 - (Default) All unselected displays become blank after a hose is
selected.
1 – All unselected displays show dashes after a hose is selected.
Flip
- Allows a two-tier price display to be inverted or flipped
between the cash and credit price displays. This option was
added to support various POS systems that display prices
opposite of a VeriFone Ruby.
Example
: TMS MPC.
0 - (Default) The POS sends the credit price to the top display
and cash price to the bottom display.
1 - The POS sends the credit price to the bottom display and
cash to the top display requiring FLIP to be turned on.
Digit
- Is used to program the dispenser for a four or five digit
PPM display.
0 - Four Digit Display
1 – (default) Five Digit Display
Note:
If option 1 is accidentally selected for a five-digit display, on
a display only capable of four digits, the display characters will be
unreadable and programming will be extremely difficult to perform.
Press the
Cancel
button on the keypad several times until Side is
displayed. Press the
+/-
key five times to alternately program the
digit function to option 0 for a four digit display.
TO SELECT DIFFERENT OPTIONS IN MENU CODE 14, FOLLOW THIS PRO CEDURE:
1.
Press the number

and
4
, then the [
MODE
]
button on the keypad. The PPM display show
the dispenser is in Menu Code 14.
If the dispenser has not been programmed since it came from the factory, the display shows
the Flash option as shown in
Figure 4.32
. One is the default setting for the Flash option.

Press [
ENTER
] to cycle through each display option (Flash, Dash, Flip, and Digits).
3.
To program a setting, use the
0
and
1
buttons on the keypad to enter a new setting.
Note:
If an error is made, press the correct number. The new number replaces the error.
4.
When the correct option appear in the main display, press the [
ENTER
] button to save and
cycle to the next available option.
5.
Press the [
CANCEL
] button to exit this menu code.
