Returns the latched grandmaster clock ID of the PTP device. The grandmaster clock ID is
the clock ID of the current grandmaster clock.

The device uses the IEEE 1588 best master clock al-
gorithm to determine which device is master, and which
devices are slaves. In case the device is not the best
master, it will act as a PTP slave.
Slave
The device’s clock will act as a PTP slave only to align
with a master device’s clock.
