Examples of PCI slots
Although the BarcoMed 2MP1HP has a 64 bit PCI connector, it
functions as a 32 bit board. It may be installed in either a 32 bit or 64
bit slot with no loss of functionality. Figure 2 illustrates the types of
slots so that you can correctly identify which one to use for the
2MP1HP.

Installing the BarcoMed 2MP1HP Display Controller
Install the 2MP1HP into your computer following these steps:
1) Turn off the power to your computer and disconnect the power
cord.
2) Remove the chassis cover according to the manufacturer’s
instructions. Be sure to observe safety warnings.
3) If you have decided to use the on-board VGA capabilities of the
2MP1HP (see Using the VGA Capabilities of the BarcoMed
2MP1HP), you must now remove any VGA cards that are
currently installed in the computer. You may also need to un-install
the drivers for that VGA board. (Consult the User Guide for your
VGA board for instructions on removing the driver.) If your system
has an integrated VGA card you may need to make changes to
your system’s BIOS settings in order to use the VGA capabilities of
your BarcoMed display controller. (Consult your system manual(s)
for instructions on making changes to the BIOS settings.)
