14.1 Gear/transmission
Breakdown
Possible cause(s)
Repair
You cannot change the ratios or you
can hardly do it.
Gear/transmission lever was not
trigged correctly.
Pull the lever again.
The gear/transmission is not set
correctly.
Contact your garage.
Too much pressure on the pedal
during a rise and/or slow pedal
movement.
Repeat
the
ratio
changing
procedure on a flat ground.
In order to change ratios while
standing:
●
Lift the back wheel.
●
Turn the crank/pedal arm in
the transmission direction
until the desired ratio is
inserted.
The transmission is blocked after or
during the ratio change
.
Blocked chain.
Stop riding.
●
Disable your Bicycle. To do so,
turn the electric engine off
(see the instruction manual).
●
Pull the lever in the other
direction.
●
Lift the back wheel.
●
If there is no resistance, turn
the crank/pedal arm in the
transmission direction.
NOTA BENE:
If the crank/pedal arm does not
turn easily, do not force it in any
way.
Contact your garage immediately.
Unusual noises like squeaks, dragging
and/or bangs.
Damaged
gear/transmission
components.
Contact your garage immediately.
Irregular resistance while pedalling.
Damaged
gear/transmission
components.
Chain gone off.

Wrongly triggered
gear/transmission.
●
Damaged or wrongly set
gear/transmission.
Stop.
●
Disable your Bicycle. To do so,
turn the electric engine off
(see the instruction manual).

Lift the chain manually and
place it on the next gear.
●
Lift the back wheel.
●
If there is no resistance, turn
the crank/pedal arm in the
transmission direction.
NOTA BENE
:
If the crank/pedal arm does not
turn easily or if you do not have the
strength to lift the back wheel, do
not force it in any way.
Contact your garage immediately.
