When you set a lower ratio (bigger spool), the speed decreases and the resistance is lower (best way to face a climb).
Conversely, when you set a higher ratio (smaller spool), the speed increases and the pedalling resistance is higher (best
way when travelling on flat paths).
Another type of gear/transmission used in several models is shown below: the REVO transmission.

The gear/transmission is provided with two levers. The A lever is used to switch to a bigger crown or stool while the B
lever is used to switch to a smaller crown or stool.
When you set a lower ratio (bigger spool), the speed decreases and the resistance is lower (best way to face a climb).
Conversely, when you set a higher ratio (smaller spool), the speed increases and the pedalling resistance is higher (best
way when travelling on flat paths).
7.2.1 Switch to a bigger stool
1.
Pedal toward the direction of forward motion.

Push the lever/button A with your thumb to the first stop mark, until you hear clearly a “click”, and keep pushing
until the desired ratio is inserted.

If you want to skip more ratios, push the lever/button completely and keep it pushed until the desired ratio is
inserted.
