1.
Pedal toward the direction of forward motion.
2.
Push the lever B until you hear a “click”, and then release it.
7.3 Brakes
ATTENTION
RISK OF FALLING AND ACCIDENTS
A vigorous triggering of brakes can block the wheel groups and generate slippages and overturning.
●
It is necessary to become acquainted with brakes triggering. Start pedalling slowly and trigger the brakes
lightly.
●
Perform these exercises on smooth paths where there is no traffic.
●
Dose the brakes and pull both levers simultaneously.
NOTE:
Disc brakes develop their full potential after a “run-in period”. The general use is the following: the brakes are considered
fully run in after performing 30 short break applications starting from an average speed (around 25 km/h) until full stop.
Avoid long rides until the break system has been run-in. Once the breaking system has been run-in, a high breaking force
will be available. If the levers are pulled too firmly, the wheels may be blocked.
NOTE:
Approximately the 65% of the total breaking force derives from the front
brake.
The maximum breaking performance is obtained when both levers are
pulled.
●
To trigger the brake, pull the respective lever toward the
handlebar.
7.4 Quick release axes
Front wheel hub is fixed to the fork with quick release axes. The seatpost blockage system is provided with a quick release
axis. These blockage systems allow assembling and disassembling these components quickly and without tools.
ATTENTION
RISK OF FALLING AND ACCIDENTS
An incorrect assembly of the front wheel group and of the seatpost can lead to a loosening of these
components, with subsequent dangerous driving conditions, falling and accidents.
●
Follow the description below.
●
Practice frequently on using the quick release axis.
●
If you are not sure to have the assembled the wheel groups and/or the seatpost correctly, do not use the
Bicycle and contact the Official Dealer.
