Chapter 9: Troubleshooting

Using the Site survey mode on the handset

About this task

Use the following method to put a subscribed D260 handset into site survey mode.

Procedure

1. On the handset, go to 

Menu

 and press *7378423*.

2. Select 

Site survey mode

 and enable it.

The site survey mode is enabled.

3. From the handset, make a call to another handset subscribed to the same D200 network,

and monitor the displayed data.

The following is an example of the data displayed in the

Site survey mode

 after the call is

established.

• RPN: The first digit from the left is the base RPN that the handset is connected to. All

other RPN to the right are for the nearby bases that the handset can see or handover.

• DECT signal strength (dBm): This row displays the Received Signal Strength Indicator

(RSSI) for the connected and the nearby base stations. The signal range depends on
surroundings, such as walls. At the edge of the DECT range, where the signal strength
