Shared line selection
From the viewpoint of a single handset shared lines behave just like regular (or private) lines, and
as such they can also be used for originating calls.
The shared lines simply show up in the line selector screen together with the regular lines,
displayed with the names that the administrator has given them.
Detailed view
The detailed view displays more information regarding which extension is using which shared lines
and provides the handset with SCA specific functionality like barge-in and retrieve of remote calls.
The first line of text in the detailed view displays the name and appearance-index1 of the currently
selected SCA. The name of the SCA is the name of its corresponding shared line. The second line
displays the state of the current selection. In the screenshots above, appearance-index 1 of the
line with name “shared” is in the “Active” state whereas appearance-index 2 of the same line is in
the “Idle” state.
The third and fourth lines of text display the name and number of the remote end of the call. This
is of course only applicable if there is an active call on that index of the shared line.
• The detailed view is accessed from the idle screen by pressing the
Up
navigation key.
• It is possible to change the selected LED by pressing the
Left
and
Right
navigation keys.
• To return to the idle screen, press the
Hook-On
key or the right soft key labelled
Back
.
• Functionality is activated using the soft keys and the selection key.
• The selection key activates the same functionality as the left soft key.
There are three different soft key functions available depending on the state of the currently
selected SCA: New call, Barge-in and Retrieve.
New call
New call is available for SCAs in the idle state. Pressing the left soft key displays the dial screen
allowing the user to enter and dial a number. The call is originated on the shared line that is
currently selected in the detailed view.
