Speedometer / Odometer
The standard speedometer (Figure 47) is
driven by a signal from the engine electronic
control module (ECM) and shows the vehicle
speed on the primary scale in miles per hour
(mph) and on the secondary scale in kilometers
per hour (km/h). The ECM can be recalibrated
to compensate for any change to tire size,
or other changes in the vehicle driveline.
Recalibration of the ECM is performed by
your authorized Autocar or Cummins® service
facility.

Vehicles may also be fitted with a speedometer
that reads in km/h per hour as the primary
scale with mph as the secondary scale
(Figure 48).

The odometer is a liquid crystal display (LCD)
mounted in the lower speedometer face. The
odometer registers up to 999,999.9 miles or
kilometers.
