Pre-Trip Inspection Quick List
Inspect the vehicle in a circular manner as
shown in Figure 21, Figure 22 and Figure 23.

Approaching the Vehicle
• Check under the vehicle for oil, fuel, coolant
leaks or other signs of damage.
• CNG Vehicles: Check (smell) for the odor of
natural gas.
• Check body surfaces for breaks or damage.
Preparation
• Block wheels on vehicle.
• CNG Vehicles: Drain any collected oil from
the engine fuel filter. Close drain valve.
• Drain air reservoirs completely. To drain,
open drain cocks or pull drain cord.
• Close air reservoir drain cocks.
• Start the engine and let the air pressure
build up to normal. Stop engine.
• Switch on parking lights and four-way
flashers.
• Apply parking brakes.
