Note
In the event of irregular valve noise which disappears after a
lengthy drive but repeatedly re-occurs when travelling short dis‐
tances, the oil retention valve must be renewed.
Removing
– Remove intake manifold ⇒ Rep. gr. 24 .
– Remove bolts -2- and -3-.
– Detach high-pressure pipe -1- from fuel rail.
– Unscrew high-pressure pipe at connections -4- and -5- on fuel
rail. To do so, counterhold at hexagon flats with an open-end
spanner and slacken union nut.
– Detach high-pressure pipes.
