Reaction time:
The required time to mute a stream following an event is at most 750ms. The time to unmute is at most 1250ms.
The time required for the slave to reconfigure itself following a master configuration change is at most 5s.
Configuration:
This feature can be configured on the system/misc tab.
• Channel: the monitored channel. On a multi-channel encoder, the redundancy must be activated separately on each
channel
• Status: Enable the redundancy on each encoder (master and slave)
• Master/Slave: Configure one encoder as master, the other as a slave.
• Destination: The peer streaming IP address. For instance, if the master streams through the stream1 interface, the
destination field of the slave's will be filled with the master's stream1 IP address.
Note
On a multi-channel platform the slave's channels 1 and 2 will follow the master's channels 1 and 2
respectively.
