2.10.1 Chassis fan
To remove the chassis fan:
1. Unplug the chassis fan cable from
the REAR_FAN1 connector on the
motherboard.
2.10 Removable components
You may need to remove previously installed system components when in-
stalling or removing system devices, or when you need to replace defective
components. This section tells how to remove the following components:
1. Chassis fan
2. HDD blowers
3. SATA/SAS backplanes
4. MemCool FB-DIMM fan kit
5. Floppy disk drive module
6. Front I/O board
7. Chassis footpads and roller wheels
8. Power supply unit
2. Locate the four screws that
secure the fan to the chassis.
3. Remove the four screws while
carefully supporting the chassis
fan with your free hand to
prevent it from falling off.
Set the screws aside.
4. Carefully remove the chassis fan.
