Removing Head Media Guide
Remove Head Media Guide if primarily printing on thin, flat stock ( that is, not printing large batches of envelopes )
and are encountering print quality issues. Attachment is used to flatten envelope flaps for better print consistency.
1. Lower Duplex Feeder. Open Print Engine Access Door. Unlatch and pull out Print Engine.
2. Open Print Engine Clamshell.
3. [A] & [B] Slide Envelope Printing
Attachment to the left and pull down on Head
Media Guide to release it from metal support
.
[C] Remove Guide from Printer. Save for
later use.
CAUTION
HOLD ONTO BOTH LATCHES WHEN OPENING AND CLOSING
PRINT ENGINE CLAMSHELL TO PREVENT DAMAGE.
DO NOT ALLOW CLAMSHELL TO DROP OR SLAM CLOSED.
TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO INK LINES, A STOP LIMITS RAISING
CLAMSHELL MORE THAN 60°.
