Install Firmware on Top Printer

IMPORTANT!

This procedure is for updating the firmware on the Top Printer.

NOTE: The firmware on the

Duplex Printer is already installed.

IMPORTANT!

BEFORE STARTING ANY PRINTER FIRMWARE UPDATE, REMEMBER TO USE THE PRINTER
DRIVER TO FIRST EXPORT ANY CUSTOM MEDIA SIZES, WATERMARKS OR PRINT SETTINGS
YOU HAVE ADDED TO AN OUTSIDE HOLDING FILE. THIS WILL PREVENT THE LOSS OF YOUR
CUSTOM SETTINGS. SEE THE "IMPORT/EXPORT TAB" IN THE OPERATOR MANUAL FOR
MORE INFORMATION.

Make sure the

Top Printer

is turned ON and the USB cable or Network cable is connected from the computer or

network to the Top Printer.

Duplex Printer should not be connected to the Top Printer during this procedure.

NOTE:

Once started, the Firmware installation runs automatically and requires NO operator interaction

with the Printer.

The

Install New Firmware

process takes about 5-10 minutes to complete.

1.

Open the

Duplex CD

.

Open the

Firmware

folder.

Double-click the

“.bin”

file.

2.

When the

“Update printer firmware”

window

opens, select the M-Series printer you want to update.

NOTE: You can only update one printer at a time.

3.

Click

“Update”

.

DO NOT touch the Printer until

the firmware is loaded!

A message will appear on your screen warning you
not to unplug or shut off the Printer. The firmware
finishes loading (

about 5-10 minutes

).
