IMPORTANT

When servicing previous versions using circuit boards with 16-pin connector/harness, you must refer to Installation Manual A7043

for wiring and functional differences. Portions of the Troubleshooting section within this manual may be used for previous version

circuit boards

Plug-in connector system updates
New circuit board with 4 diagnostic LEDs with plug-in connector harness
•  Standardized wire colors and connector terminations

•  Separate 5-pin (J1) and 9-pin (J2) input harnesses. This

simplifies wiring terminations in most applications since

most applications require only the 5-pin harness
•  Standard wire colors on 5-pin and 9-pin input harnesses.

IMPORTANT:

Some wire colors have been changed from

  previous version 59- circuit board

•  4 diagnostic LEDs for installation and troubleshooting

 assistance:

Yellow LED – Indicates Latchbolt or Vertical Rod switch status

Green LED – Indicates whether the Rail Magnet is energized or

de-energized

Red LED – Indicates whether the Push Rail (REX) Switch is

  activated or de-activated

Orange LED – Monitors the Door Status Switch position when

switch is being used

•  Visible Yellow Insert LED has been eliminated. The Red LED

flashes now to indicate momentary egress

•  Added wire for earth ground termination

•  16 position rotary switch has been changed to Dip Switch–

S2. Positions 3 and 4 are now used to select momentary

  egress times

•  Voice and Ganged features are now jumper selectable

•  Red Visible Insert LED is ON to indicate fire alarm condition

rather than the Green Visible Insert LED

•  Nuisance Delay is now 1 second (was 2 seconds)
