New Features
• Terminal-based features:
– Unlocking a phone lock for a single call
– Making calls on a third-party terminal using your own authorizations
– Logging specifically into and out of individual user groups (rather than a col-
lective log on/off, as was previously the case)
– Enhanced Voice Mail support on the system terminal
• System-based features:
– External remote control of subscriber and system-based features
– Alternative routing of incoming calls if the subscriber is busy or does not
answer, for example to create a user group overflow
– Additional ISDN supplementary services on the S bus
– Support of the MCID ISDN service
– Support of ACD applications through an internal ACD queue, and emer-
gency routing in the event of failure by the external ACD server
– For P-MP connections, capability to automatically transferring a call diversion
to the ISDN exchange in the case of an exchange-to-exchange connection
(similarly, PARE for P-P connections)
– LCR fallback to secondary provider (alternative routing), automatic or man-
ual
Information and Management System (AIMS)
• The Ascotel Information and Management System (AIMS) is the installer's tool
for configuring the system; Crystal is no longer available. AIMS can now be
connected to the central, fast Ethernet interface. Search and sort functions
have been expanded.
• Data from older AIMS versions can be imported. The application managers for
Voice Mail and the AIP 6400 (IP gateway) can be started directly from AIMS.
• With the expanded Upload Manager it is now possible to load not only the sys-
tem software for the PBX but also the software for Office 45, the radio units,
and Office 130, either locally or remotely. The memory components no longer
have to be replaced on site.
• With the aid of the System Assistant application the customer can carry out fre-
quently recurring configuration changes himself on the Office 45.
