Patient Control Panel
The patient can use the patient control panel to adjust the position of the head and foot of the unit frame.
The patient control panel is located on the inside face of the upper side rail.
CPR
1.
Squeeze and hold red CPR handle located on underside of
head end of unit frame, as shown at right. CPR handles are
located on both sides of unit.
Head end of unit frame (if elevated), will drop abruptly
when CPR handle is squeezed.
• Air is switched off; cushions will deflate.
• Rotation, percussion and pulsation will be deactivated.
• The
CPR Activated
message will appear and
flash in the
Nurse
display panel, as shown at
right.

• The
CPR Activated / Air Switched Off
display
will appear and flash on the main control panel,
as shown at right.

Lower side rails.
3.
Remove headboard as needed.
4.
Unfasten arm pack strap as needed.
5.
Begin CPR. Crash board is not needed. Patient’s weight and the CPR process will deflate cushions.
6.
After CPR is performed and patient is clinically stable:
• Press
Cancel CPR
button on main control panel to inflate cushions and resume unit functions.
• Reinstall headboard, as needed.
• Refasten arm pack strap, as needed.
• Raise and lock side rails. (If used, refer to
Risks and Precautions
in the
Introduction
chapter of this
KNEE UP
Press to raise knee
gatch to 30º angle.
BACK UP
Press to raise head of
unit frame up to 90º
angle.
BACK DOWN
Press to lower back of unit
frame to level position.
KNEE DOWN
Press to lower knee gatch
to level position.
