The top line of the weight trend chart will display the date and initial weight. This line is for reference
and will not change. When future weight readings are taken and entered into the weight trend chart,
the most recent reading will appear on the bottom line of the display. This information will move up
one line each time a new weight reading is saved into the weight trend chart, and will eventually
move up and off the display.

Pulsation is deactivated when

button is pressed, but is restored when

menu is exited.

Set the bed exit alarm:
• Press
Arm
button on bed exit control panel.
• Armed light will come on, indicating bed exit alarm is now on.
Scale functions are deactivated when bed exit alarm is set.

Verify rotation, pulsation, percussion and warmer settings are adjusted as required:

• Review and verify settings.

button to return to the
Home
menu.
5.
Adjust patient surface for patient comfort.
Rotation will be deactivated if head of unit (
Head Angle
display) is raised over 35° angle. This
includes a combination of Fowler and Trend angles.

Activate rotation and percussion as required.

and rotation. Refer to these sections in the
Introduction
chapter of this manual before activating
these functions.

Observe patient through a full rotation cycle and check the following:
• Verify all lines and tubes are secured and have adequate slack to avoid pulling, binding or dislodging
during a full 60° angle of rotation. Adjust slack in lines as necessary.
• Verify air pressure adjustments with hand check beneath the shoulders, hips and heels during right
pause, center pause and left pause.
8.
Manually adjust air pressures, as required. Allow time for cushions to reach new air pressures and
observe patient through rotation cycle again. Verify air pressures during cycle with hand check after each
adjustment.

Ensure caster brakes are locked. (Refer to related
Safety Information
in the
Introduction
chapter of
this manual.)
