Patient Placement
It is recommended that all chapters of this manual be reviewed prior to product use. Carefully read the
Contraindications
,
Risks and Precautions
and
Safety Information
sections in the
Introduction
chapter
of this manual prior to placing a patient on the
TriaDyne Proventa
Critical Care Therapy System.
Preparation for Patient Placement
1.
Lock caster brakes.
2.
Plug power cord into properly grounded wall outlet.
Do not use wall outlet controlled by a wall switch. Refer to
Avoid Fire Hazards
safety information in
the
Introduction
chapter of this manual.
3.
Level patient surface and adjust
Kinetic Therapy
option, if needed.
The Kinetic Therapy adjustment feature is not available on all units. Refer to pg 5-35 of the
Operating Instructions
chapter.
4.
Configure unit as required (add pillows, blankets, lines, IV poles, other equipment, accessories, etc., to
the weighed portion of unit).
5.
Press
On / Off
button on main control panel to activate air supply to the unit.
Pulsation will be automatically activated. Rotation, percussion and warmer will not automatically
restore.
6.
Calibrate scale to zero:
• Press and hold
Scale On / Off
button on bed motion control panel (located beneath main control
panel).
• Release the
Scale On / Off
button when the words
Let Go For Scale
appear on
Scale
display. This
will turn off the
Trend Angle
display and activate the scale.
• Press and hold
Zero
button to set weight value of all equipment currently on weighed portion of unit
to 0.0 lb (0.00 kg).
• Release the
Zero
button. Allow scale to zero out.
Scale
display will read 0.0 lb (0.00 kg).
7.
Enable bed exit alarm:
• Press and hold
Arm and Disarm
buttons on bed motion control panel together for five seconds.
• Release buttons.
Armed
light will flash.
• Do not touch unit until
Armed
light stops flashing.
Bed exit alarm will be armed once patient is in place.
8.
Preset air pressures using main control panel:
• Press button for
Menu
on
Home
menu.
