10. Install the forward exhaust pipe heat shield and
secure with the machine screws. Tighten securely.

11. Install the CVT cooling ducts on the V-belt housing
and secure with clamps. Tighten securely. Fit the
exhaust duct into the J-hook located on the top of the
cylinder head cover; then secure the end of the duct
to the upper coolant pipe using an appropriate-sized
nylon tie.

12. Install the starter cable to the starter motor, secure
with the nut, and tighten securely; then secure the
engine/harness ground wires to the engine with a cap
screw and tighten to 8 ft-lb.

13. Properly position the gear position switch on the
engine (A to A and B to B); then secure the shift
cable bracket to the engine case and tighten the
engine case screws to 8 ft-lb. Connect the gear posi-
tion switch connector.

14. On the left side, connect the ECT sensor connector,
speed sensor connector, and spark plug cap.
 NOTE: Secure the wires from the ECT and Oxygen
sensor up and away from the exhaust pipe with the
appropriate-sized nylon tie.
