Zero-Sequence Currents (I0) and Voltages (V0) are characteristic of

unbalanced 3-phase four-wire systems, and correlate to “neutral shift”,
where there is a current and potential difference in motor or generator
windings with respect to system ground. Zero-Sequence conditions result
from unequal phase-to-neutral parameters.
