6.7. Replacing Modulation Board

When replacing the board, some checks have to be carried out

and some parameters have to be set using the LCD display or

SmartControl.

AKY boilers use a default list of values. Please update this list

each time a change is made so that replacement boards can

be precisely configured, if necessary.

* The following information refer only to AKY boilers. For other

equipment using the same modulation board, please refer to

relevant manual.

Verifying hardware configuration of the board

Change the board address using the switches and take note of

the configuration of the board just replaced.

Setting up parameters

Parameters that must necessarily be set are the following:

•

d0, d1, and d5: they identify the type of appliance

•

b1, b2, and b3: they regulate the number of revolutions of

the motor of flue fan

•

S1 enables NTC1 sensor on hot water delivery

• S3 enables flue control

•

S5 enables B2 sensor to control water pressure

• S6 enables B3 sensor to control water flow rate

•

H11 enables Y1 (PWM2) outlet for water circulator modula-

tion (only for standard model).

Parameter setting - Operative mode

Parameters can be modified using LCD display on the boiler

or SmartControl.

SmartControl allows access to all parameters (see tables in next

pages). Parameters are password protected. The password is

supplied by Apen Group Service.

See SmartControl manual for accessing and changing operation

parameter. Parameters can only be changed with burner OFF.

6.8. Configuring with LCD Display

Parameters are shown and can be changed only if they have

been enabled using

Abi

menu password.

To change parameters, the board address must be 0. If it is not,

change the address to 0.

menu. Password is 1 (one)

Enables the change of boiler parameters, listed under

Par

menu. This password is used by service staff and must be

requested to APEN GROUP SPA

If no keys are pressed for 10 minutes after entering the pass-

word, previous state is automatically restored.

Use arrows to scroll the menu. Press ENTER to select a pa-

rameter or set point, then use arrows to display required value.

Press ENTER for 3 seconds to confirm. The value will flash on

display to confirm it has been stored.
