OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Check that the dock seal is not inflated before the
vehicle is reversed up to the goods entrance.
2. Ensure that the goods vehicle is able to back
straight up to the goods entrance on which Tretight
®
is installed, and ensure that the driver centres the
vehicle between the side-cushions of the dock seal.
3. Start the dock seal fan before the goods entrance
is opened. Check that the noise level from the fan
is normal (less than 75 dBA) when the dock seal is
fully inflated, and check that there is no abnormal
noise.
4. After the vehicle has been unloaded/loaded, the
goods entrance must be closed and the fan
switched off before the vehicle is moved.

Fault tracing:
a. The Fan does not start: Check the disconnecting
switch (isolator), fuse and power supply.
b. The Fan or its motor vibrates or makes abnormal
noise: Stop the fan immediately by turning off the
power and take the necessary maintenance
measures, as described below. Abnormal noise can
also occur when parts of the metal structure start
to vibrate. In such cases the fan must also be
stopped immediately and the maintenance
measures described below carried out.
c. The side-cushions or roof-cushion do not seal
properly against the vehicle: If the vehicle is of the
”right” size, failure to seal can occur if one of the
cushions is badly damaged and is not inflating
properly. Repair the faulty cushion as described in
the maintenance instructions below.
