deleted all or as much of the current name as
desired.
b. Use the Left/Right/Up/Down Arrow keys to
highlight the desired letter in the character
matrix.
c. Press the Set key to add the highlighted letter
to the name field.
Note
To access numbers and symbols, press Mode ( F1 ):
-
the first key press opens Number mode
-
the second key press opens Symbol mode
-
the third key press returns to Alphabet
mode.
d. Repeat steps 5b and 5c to complete editing the
filename.
6. When the filename is completed, press OK ( F4 ).
The file is saved with the new name and the unit
returns to the Save VIP Image screen.
7. Press Save ( F1 ) to save the file.
Loading a VIP Image
VIP PNG files can be loaded on the Network Master from
mass storage. This provides a method of visually checking the
condition of a fiber optic termination to a previously saved
PNG.
To load a VIP image:
1. Launch the VIP application from General
Functions pop-up menu (see Figure 3-4 on
page 3-5), if it is not already running.
