Connecting the Source to the Electronics
Power to the Dymaxion must be off.
The source was already checked at the factory where the filament
integrity was validated.

Check the Dymaxion’s RS-232 or RS-485 port-to-PC connection using
the communications cable.

Align the key on the Dymaxion electronics unit to the notch on the col-
lar end of the source assembly.

Insert the electronics onto the source until firmly seated (do not twist).

Lock the electronics unit to the source using the tightening knobs (Fig-
ure 3-5) on the side of the Dymaxion until it is securely hand-tightened.
Never twist the Dymaxion.
Always insert it straight in and pull it straight back.

Make sure that the Dymaxion electronics are connected to the power
supply.
