LEDs
The Dymaxion LEDs are located on the back of the electronics (Figure 1-3). On
start-up, the Dymaxion cycles through the LEDs, turning them GREEN, RED
and YELLOW. Check that each LED is working properly. When the unit is
through cycling, the top LED turns green. For further help on LED error mes-
sages, see Chapter 6 of this manual.
LEDs are listed in the order in which they appear (top to bottom) on the back
of the electronics unit.
CPU
Indicates CPU and system status
Off
Dymaxion power is off
Red
CPU has stopped
Flashing
Red
Battery-backed RAM has been cleared
Check battery
Green
Normal operation
COMM
Shows the status of communications between the Dymaxion
and the PC.
Green
Receiving data from the PC
Off
Dymaxion is inactive
Red
Communications error
RF
Shows the status of the RF circuit.
Green
RF amplifier is operating properly
Red
RF failure
Yellow
Automatic RF tune
NOTE
RF tune files are preset at the factory and are customized for
each instrument and customer. If you are having a problem in
this area contact your service engineer.
FILAMENT
Indicates the status of the filament
Green
ON and working properly
Red
OFF because of over-pressure , open or short condition
Yellow
Half the filament has failed
