Fct. 1.06 Upper Dead
Zone
(UP DZ)
Specifies the distance from the
sensor mounting in which no mea-
surement takes place. Preset based
on sensor type and typically not
edited.
May be of use to minimize re-
flections from mountings not in
conformance with recommended
practices.
Must be set above maximum level
or volume to achieve the full mea-
surement range.
When level is tracked into the
Upper Dead Zone the output will
change as specified in Fct A.09,
Near Zone Output, and remain
there until level falls backs into the
measurable range.
NOTE: If the system is powered
on or “signal acquire” is activated
with the level in the Upper Dead
Zone, it will not be detected and an
erroneous reading may result.
Changing Material Type, Fct. 1.05,
or Probe Type, Fct A.06, will reset
this function to factory default
values.
Editing this function changes
Material Type, Fct 1.05, to “CUS-
TOM”
