  Installing The RS232 Modem

Refer to Figure 3-1

 for a connection diagram and use the following 

procedure to install the hardware that is necessary to run the PC software.

1.  Connect the RS232 Drexelbrook Modem 401-700-004 to one of the 

COM

 

serial ports (

COM1

, 

COM2

, etc.) of the computer.

2.  Connect the Modem's 4-20 loop connectors to the transmitter loop. 

3.   Turn on the computer.
