Using Programming
Software to Troubleshoot
Your Module
In addition to the status display on the module, the programming software will
alert you to fault conditions. You will be alerted in one of four ways:
•
Warning signal on the main screen next to the module - This occurs
when the connection to the module is broken
•
Fault message in a screen’s status line
•
Notification in the Tag Editor - General module faults are also reported
in the Tag Editor. Diagnostic faults are only reported in the Tag Editor
•
Status on the Module Info Page
The screens below display fault notification in the programming software.
Warning icon when a
communications fault occurs or if
the module is inhibited
Notification in Tag Editor
A value of 1 shows a fault for this input
point.
Fault message in status line

Warning signal - The module in slot 1 has a communications fault
