Aibot X6 V2, Operation

3.4.7
Start Prevention System
Safety Features
The Aibot X6 V2 has a start prevention system. The motors cannot be started
if the charge of the battery does not guaranty a save flight execution. If the
present battery voltage is lower than a predefined value, the start is prevented
and an acoustic error signal sounds.
This Safety Feature can be deactivated within the AiProFlight software config-
uration. Aibotix does not assume any responsibility for possible crashes due to
flat batteries or deactivated Safety Features.

Battery Failsafe
CAUTION
Sensors may provide wrong data
A malfunction may occur if the environmental information is inconsistent or not
comprehensive. The functionality of some Safety Features relies on the infor-
mation of one or more of the following sensors: Pressure Sensor, Ultrasonic
Sensor, GPS, Magnetic Compass.
Precautions:
•
Be aware that sensors may provide wrong data and always be ready to take
over manual control.
Safety Features
This Safety Feature is activated by default in
Manual Mode
,
Assist Mode
and
Waypoint Flight
.
The RC transmitter gives a warning-signal (beep/blinking LEDs) as soon as the
battery voltage drops below a preset value. Refer to the AiProFlight user
manual for details.
The procedure of the Automatic Safety Landing depends on the actual flight
altitude. At 20 m above ground, the automatic safety feature will be triggered
at the latest 30 seconds after the first warning.
When flying at 100 m the Automatic Safety Landing is switched on promptly as
soon as the voltage threshold value is reached. The Automatic Safety Landing
works like the Auto Landing Mode. The operator may still use control
commands to avoid collision with any obstacles, although climbing is prevented
unless the Aibot X6 V2 is near ground.
If the battery voltage stabilises on a higher altitude, the warning sound ceases
and the Automatic Safety Landing is not initiated.
The Automatic Safety Landing is an operator assistance feature to increase the
operational safety of the Aibot X6 V2. Nevertheless, the operator has to
monitor the battery voltage at any time. Reduce the flight altitude in time if a
drop in battery voltage occurs. Increased voltage drop occurs especially once
extra payload is used.
Aibotix does not assume any responsibility for possible crashes due to flat
batteries or deactivated Safety Features.
