Preparation of the launch site
Requirements
The takeoff and landing area must meet the following requirements:
•
The takeoff site has to be a flat and hard surface area. Maximum allowed
slope for takeoff is 15°.
•
All vegetation, for example lawn, must be new-mown.
•
The area must be free from any obstacles.
•
Secure the takeoff site with a safety band or banner. For safety reasons,
make sure that only authorized staff have access.
•
Consider the wind direction, emergency landing field, mission field and the
whole environment. Make sure you can finish your mission safely without
being a hazard for any people, buildings, animals or yourself.
•
If possible, consider the position of the sun when choosing the position of
the operator. Make sure that no glare will occur during the mission.
