Aibot X6 V2, Operation
3.4
Safety Features
3.4.1
Assist Mode (Altitude Regulation)
CAUTION
Sensors may provide wrong data
A malfunction may occur if the environmental information is inconsistent or not
comprehensive. The functionality of some Safety Features relies on the infor-
mation of one or more of the following sensors: Pressure Sensor, Ultrasonic
Sensor, GPS, Magnetic Compass.
Precautions:
•
Be aware that sensors may provide wrong data and always be ready to take
over manual control.
It is important to consider some additional aspects:
•
Make sure that the ultrasonic sensors at the bottom side of the Aibot X6
V2 are not covered or dirty.
•
Make sure that all accessories are securely fastened and no interference
with the sensors may occur.
•
If an ultrasonic sensor is covered, this may result in a continuous climb. The
assisted flight must be aborted immediately and the Aibot X6 V2 must be
landed manually.
•
Fluctuations in air pressure may cause automatic adjustments of the flight
level. Pay attention to cross ventilation and avoid opening doors or
windows while flying indoors.
Safety Features
The Assist Mode contains the automatic altitude hold function. Above 2 m, an
air pressure sensor is used to maintain altitude. The Aibot X6 V2 may change
the level if there are changes in air pressure. If there are obstacles above the
Aibot X6 V2 or when flying indoor, it is preferred to use Manual Mode. For
example when inspecting the underside of a bridge.
After switching off the Assist Mode, a short drop may occur.
Do not switch Assist Mode on while flying aggressive manoeuvres.
