2.3.1
General about the RC Transmitter
General
Read and follow the provided RC Transmitter User Manual. This chapter
provides additional product-specific information to operate the Aibot X6 V2.
CAUTION
Adjustment of Trim
A trim adjustment of the joysticks can lead to unfamiliar steering behaviour and
crash. By default, the adjustment of the trim is deactivated.
Precautions:
•
Do not change the trim by yourself.
•
If you want to change the trim or if you changed the trim unintentionally,
contact Aibotix service.
Safety
•
Read and follow the RC transmitter manual and safety instructions
provided on the USB flash drive or in print.
•
Do not change the firmware or software; Aibotix does not accept liability
for damage due to RC transmitter modification if not advised to do so.
•
Do not use the teacher-/student mode unless you have the instruction and
permission by Aibotix. There is a high risk of misusing this function which
may lead to a crash landing of the system.
Charging
Charging the RC transmitter with the included charger may take up to 15 hours.
Do not use third party chargers or plugs designed for other battery types. The
RC transmitter must be turned off during the whole time of the charging
process. Never switch on the RC transmitter while it is connected to the battery
charger.
State of charge can only be checked when battery charger is disconnected.

Configuration of the RC Transmitter
Stick modes
The RC Transmitter can be used in two different stick configurations. In Aibotix
trainings and in all documents, stick mode 2 is used by default.
•
In stick mode 1, the throttle is on the right side of the RC transmitter.
•
In stick mode 2, the throttle is on the left side of the RC transmitter.
It is only allowed to operate the Aibot X6 V2 in stick mode 2.
By default the system comes already configured with stick mode 2.
Before takeoff, check if stick mode 2 is selected:
1) Press the
SET
-key to open the general menu.
2) Select the submenu “base setup model”.
3) Navigate to “Stick mode”. If stick mode is already 2, leave the menu by
pressing
ESC
.
4) To change the stick mode press
SET
and choose “stick mode 2". To save
your choice press
SET
again.
