Removing and Replacing the Measurement Group Assemblies
Replacing the RF Assembly Including the A4 RF Board
1. Separate the front and rear cases. Refer to “Separating the Front and Rear Cases” on page 7-10 .
2. Remove all measurement group assemblies as one unit. Refer to “Removing All Measurement
Group Assemblies as One Unit” on page 7-27 .
3. Refer to Figure 7-20 . Remove cables W1 and W2.
4. Refer to Figure 7-27 . Remove the twenty-six screws (item 2) attaching the RF board shield to the RF
board (item 1).
5. Refer to Figure 7-28 . The RF board can now be removed from the measurement assembly.
6. Refer to Figure 7-25 . Re-connect the A4 RF board to the A5 System board.
7. Refer to Figure 7-29 . Replace the RF board shield by replacing the twenty-six shield screws. Torque
these nineteen shield screws (plus the two System board screws, #13 and #21) in the sequence shown
by the circled numbers (1 - 21). Repeat this torque sequence one additional time. Torque to 12 in-lbs.
8. Refer to Figure 7-20 . Make sure the RFI O-rings are in the correct position on the RF connectors.
9. Perform the steps under “Post-replacement Procedure” on page 7-44 .
