2.2.2.1.1. Opto-coupled GPI.
AEQ CAPITOL includes 8 electronic input interfaces of opto-coupled or open collector type -
GPIs - through the female DB15 connector labeled “
GP INPUTS
” .
Specifications:

Maximum Input Current: 50mA.

Applicable voltage: from 5V to 24V.
Associated electronic with opto-coupled GPI
In order to make installation process easier, AEQ offers specific pre-fabricated cable kits for
AEQ CAPITOL data input/output within the optional modules range: CP CAB GPIO, consisting
in a male DB15 connector soldered to a 6 meters long cable with no connectors at the other
end. For more information please check chapter 2.2.6 of this manual.

Please note that there is a common ground (GND) for inputs 1 to 4 and another one for inputs 5
to 8.
Upon request, this wiring kit can be supplied with connectors as specified by the customer. For
more information please refer to AEQ sales department or authorised distributors.
2.2.2.1.2. Opto-coupled GPO.
As explained, AEQ CAPITOL also includes 8 GPO output interfaces with opto-coupler. These
are located at the back of the audio engine or core unit by means of a female DB15 connector
labelled “
GP OUTPUTS
”.

•
Maximum current: 80mA.
•
Recommended Maximum voltage: 200V.
