In order to use this output, connect the headphones as follows:
•
For left channel, use DB15 pin 5 or 13 and connect the headphone between
that point and the external shield (pin 6).
•
For right channel, use DB15 pins 7 or 15 and connect the headphone between
that point and the external shield (pin 6).
In order to make installation process easier, AEQ offers specific pre-fabricated cable kits for
AEQ CAPITOL audio input/output, both analog and digital, as well as studio headphones: FR
CAB INP, consisting in a male DB15 connector soldered to 4 balanced and shielded 6 meters
long paired cables with no connectors at the other end, for 4 inputs or outputs. For more
information please check chapter 2.2.6 of this manual.
AEQ can upon request provide fully finished cables and in special lengths. For more information
please refer to AEQ sales department or authorised distributors.

2.2.3.1. Accessing the programming jumpers.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
Previous experience with installation and configuration of electronic or PC
cards is required for access and reconfiguration of programming jumpers. Please don’t open the
unit if you don’t have this experience, due to the risk of causing damages or suffering electric
discharges.
AES IN inputs
and
AES OUT outputs
are configured according to AES/EBU standard by
default. If connection to
S/PDIF
equipment is needed, you must open the audio engine and
change the corresponding jumpers.
Mic/Line inputs
are configured for use with dynamic microphones with no phantom feed by
default. If you need to connect Phantom-fed condenser microphones to these inputs or use
them as mono Line inputs, you must open the audio engine and change the corresponding
jumpers.
