5. Remove all mounting screws (D) from the
front panel of the instrument, and pull the
panel down and out. Set the cover
mounting hardware aside to avoid mixing
with upgrade kit hardware.
6. Access the pump fastening screws found
through the forward filter screen housing
under the unit base and release the pump
from the base.
7. Cut away the cork insulation tape from the
pump inlet and outlet tubing to expose tie
wraps that capture the tubing onto the
pump fittings. Cut tie wraps away and
remove the tubing from the pump fittings.
Remove the original 5/32" tubing lengths
from the reservoir tank and drain hose.
8. Cut a 6" length of tubing off from the 11"
length supplied with the upgrade kit.
Tubing should be attached prior to
installing the pump.
9. Using the original pump mounting holes
(E), install the new pump bracket to the
base with the open end away from the
cooling system reservoir. The pump should
be mounted to the bracket prior to
mounting the bracket to air plenum. Place
the pump on top of the bracket and position
the adhesive-backed rubber foot such that
the pump motor body rests on the rubber
foot when aligned with the mounting holes.
Install the rubber foot and fasten the pump
to the bracket using original mounting
hardware. Secure the pump motor body to
the bracket with a long tie wrap.
