Heat Transfer Fluid Pump Replacement Kit
4C3189
Reference:
Use this instruction with replacement
kit 4C3189. This kit and instruction supersedes
the replacement HTF Pump Kit 4C3185.
Tools Needed:
Phillips screwdriver, flat-bladed
screwdriver, wire cutter and stripper, crimping tool
or 60-watt soldering iron and rosin-core solder.
Warning-Hazardous Voltage
Warning-Internal components may be
damaged by static electricity.
CAUTIONS:
• Improper connections may cause damage
to the instrument.
• The heat transfer fluid contains hazardous
chemicals. Consult the material safety
data sheet (MSDS) and use appropriate
personal protective equipment.
Instruction:
1. Drain and save the heat transfer fluid as
instructed in the instrument User Guide.
2. Turn off the instrument and disconnect the
power cord.
3. Open the front sample door (A) and pull the
sides out gently to remove the front sample
door.
4. Remove all mounting screws (B) from the
front panel of the instrument, and pull the
panel down and out.
5. The easiest way to replace the old pump is to
remove it from the instrument before
disconnecting electrical terminals and tubes.
To accomplish this:
a. Unscrew two nuts on the mounting
C-bracket (C), or the two screws securing
the pump to the instrument from below.
