5.3 

Fan Module Failure

The “FAN FAIL” message will be displayed on the display panel, if one of the fans failed in the fan
module. Replace the fan module immediately.

It is possible to replace the fan module while the subsystem is in operation, however, it should in a
short period of time since the cooling in the system is not enough.

         WARNING

Do not enter the fingers into the removed area.

Replacement Procedure

1.

 

Unscrew and remove the front cover. (See 2.1 Front side)

2.

 

Unscrew the fan module. (refer below)

3.

 

Pull out the fan module.

4.

 

Install the replacement fan module.

5.

 

Fasten the fan module using the fix screws.

6.

 

Install the front cover.

 IMPORTANT !

•

 

The  “FAN FAIL  “ indication will be erased within one (1)
minute. Call your sales representative for repair if  “FAN FAIL”
is still displayed after one (1) minute.

•

 

The  “P/S and FAN FAIL” indication will be displayed if both
power supply and fan modules have failed.
