Installing a Pentium II Processor

Follow these steps to install the Pentium II processor to the socket on the CPU
board.

1.  Place the retention mechanism over the processor socket on the CPU board.

Secure it with the screws that came with the package.

With the processor module edge connectors pointing downward, align the
processor to the posts of the retention mechanism then lower it down.  See
Figure 2-10.

The edge connectors of the Pentium II module

are slotted such that they only fit in one
direction.  Make sure that module groove
matches the one on the processor socket.
