2.1 About this chapter
Overview
This chapter presents an overview of the FlexPendant, the IRC5 controller, and
RobotStudio.
A basic robot consists of a robot controller, the FlexPendant, RobotStudio, and
one or several manipulators or other mechanical units. There may also be process
equipment and additional software options.
This manual describes a basic robot without options. However, in a few places,
the manual gives an overview of how options are used or applied. Most options
are described in detail in their respective application manual.
