Note
Action
Begin by carefully applying torque to release
the shaft of axis 3.
3
NOTE!
Perform this move with care. Threads can
otherwise be damaged.
Continue releasing the shaft until the gap
between the upper and lower arms on the
axis 2 side has disappeared.
4
NOTE!
The shaft at this point still connects to the
upper arm through the threads.
TIP!
Apply the
pull tool shaft
and pull the shaft
with bearing and T-ring out, until the gap
between upper and lower arms on the axis 3
side disappears.
5
Use a bar or similar to push the upper arm
against the axis 3 side during the pulling
out of the shaft. Insert the bar into the gap
on the axis 2 side.
Remove the pull tool shaft and apply the ad-
aptor on the shaft.
6
The upper arm will start to move against
the axis 2 side again.
Continue releasing the shaft from the upper
arm using the adaptor.
7
Release until the gap between lower and up-
per arms on the axis 2 side disappears again.
If the answer is "
No
", repeat the steps
above to make sure the threads of the
shaft and the upper arm are completely
separated, before continuing.
Check that the threads on the shaft and the
upper arm are completely separated.
8
If the answer is "
Yes
" pull the shaft out com-
pletely together with bearing and T-ring using
the
pull tool shaft
.
9
Put the shaft in a clean and safe place.
10
DANGER
Before continuing check that the upper arm
is secured in an overhead crane or similar.
With axis 3 removed there will be no support
for the upper arm.
11
Remove the axis 2 shaft by following the
steps above.
12
Remove the
upper arm
.
13
Check the V-ring! Replace if damaged!
14
