Preparations before removing the axis 2 gearbox
Use this procedure to do the necessary preparations before removing the axis 2
gearbox.
Note
Do not replace both gearboxes at the same time, unless the complete arm system
is already removed!

Action
Decide which calibration routine to use, and
take actions accordingly prior to beginning
the repair procedure.

Drain the gearbox from oil.
Note
Time-consuming activity!

Jog
axis 2
to 0 degrees and
axis 3
to max +
degrees.

Dimension of the lock screw is speficied
in
Required equipment on page 323

Insert the
lock screw
in the lower arm in order
to secure axis 2.
NOTE!
Perform this by hand only!

Release the brakes on axes 2 and 3 in order
to let the parallel arm rest on the damper.

Apply a roundsling (or similar) securing the
parallel rod to the lower arm. This is done in
order to lock the parallel arm in position.
