Configuring 4–20 mA input channels
Data input channels that use the 4–20 mA standard are available if you need to integrate data coming
from external devices (thermometers, flow meters, etc.) For each input channel that you enable, you
need to configure certain settings, values, and thresholds. The following pages explain how to do
that. To simplify understanding, we will use a thermometer as the device inputing values into the
CoreSense M10.
Configuring basic channel settings
Each channel can be given a specific unit and be enabled or disabled as necessary.
To configure these settings:
1
From the CoreSense M10 dashboard, click
Settings
. The Settings page appears.
2
Click
Sensors settings
and enter your password when asked. The
Sensors Settings
page appears.
3
Click
Inputs 4-20mA
and the channel that you want to use.
4
In the
Units
field, enter the unit of the property that you want to measure, e.g., °C, °F, K etc.
5
Check the
Enabled
box to activate this channel.
6
Click
Apply
at the bottom of the page to save your changes.
