Caution!
Zero point clamping systems consisting of more than one chucks (e.g.
clamping plates), may be very heavy.
Be sure that any clamping system that you have assembled
on your own possesses suitable fasteners so that it can be
lifted with handling devices or cranes.
Take extra caution if the weight of the clamping systems equals or
exceeds 20 kg.
General assembly instructions of a Base-Unit
When assembling on machine tables with T-grooves, the uncovered T-grooves
should be covered to prevent the accumulation of chips below the basic units.
Operating the basic units can either be done with the accessory part
„connecting
block
“ using the functions „clamping“,“ unclamping“ and “blow out“ or via docking a
quick release coupling to release. Using alignment sets and centering sets only
serves for pre-centering the unit. The exact alignment of the base unit is done
manually.
Installation and connection of a single clamping pot on a Base-Unit
On the basis of a Clamping Pot Ø 120 mm
– analog to other sizes
Six M6 x 30 mm screws are used for installing the chuck in the mounting cavity.
The chuck is positioned using the standard procedure via centering diameter of
the mounting cavity (Ø 120mm).
As a standard the air supply is connected via the connecting bore on the bottom of
the chuck.
Sinze Q4/2013 the airconnectinon hole is over worked. A fitting and an o-ring are
added for a better tightening.
The diameter of the bores has been changed.
A decrease 0.8 x 45 ° must be present.
