Clamping and unclamping
Caution!
Inadvertent operating of the zero point clamping systems can
lead to an unintended releasing of the clamping.
Disconnect the zero point clamping system from the
compressed air supply prior to any assembly, adjustment,
maintenance or refitting work!
Secure the zero point clamping system against unintended
releasing using appropriate safety equipment for the compressed
air supply.
Various valves and connections can be used for clamping and unclamping. Please
consult the corresponding manual when using connecting blocks.
Using of locking bolts
If clamp bolts are not used they have to be sealed with locking bolts. This
prevents the chuck from filling up with lubricoolant as well as from contamination
through chips or dust.
Warning!
In case of non-use or the long-term storage of the clamping pots, a
locking bolt must always be insereted into the clamping pot.
7.5.1 Covering 4-channel clamping pot
Special care is to be taken to protect the clamping pots with a media transfer, which
is not completely covered by a component or clamping device during operation, with
suitable sealing plates against dirt and coolant lubricant (see 5.5 Sealing plate).
Warning!
Only use sealing plates approved by the manufacturer. Otherwise,
safe operation can not guaranteed.
