For further information on the pull-out force tester, please refer to its operating
instructions on www.zeroclamp.com.
Caution!
When the holding force of the chuck is exceeded, the clamp bolt is yanked
out which results in wear at the clamp bolt. If this occurs repeatedly, it can
lead to the wear at the clamp bolt preventing the generation of the required
holding force even if the chuck is in a good condition.
Replace the worn clamp bolt and exchange it for a new one.
7.2.4
Example: determining the holding force
A chuck measuring 120 mm in diameter shall be tested for a minimal holding force of
23 kN.
Execute the tasks described above (preparing the measurement and applying
torque) and apply a torque of 44 Nm.
If the clamp bolt is not pulled out, the chuck has a holding force of at least 23 kN.
7.2.5
Calibrating the withdrawl force tester
You should have the withdrawal force tester calibrated once a year. Please
contact ZeroClamp
®
regarding this process.
