DAMPER FAILURE TROUBLESHOOTING
ITEM CAUSE COUNTERMEASURE
1
There was an air damper open failure.
The open limit switch does not turn ON
after 180 seconds have elapsed since
the air purge damper opening command.
Contact your local Johnson Controls Service Center.

There was an air damper close failure.
The close limit switch does not turn ON
after 180 seconds have elapsed since
the air purge damper closing command
was issued.

There was an exhaust gas inlet damper
open failure. The open limit switch does
not turn ON after 180 seconds have
elapsed since the exhaust gas inlet
damper opening command was issued.

There was an exhaust gas inlet damper
close failure. The close limit switch does
not turn ON after 180 seconds have
elapsed since the exhaust gas inlet
damper closing command was issued.

There was an exhaust gas outlet damper
open failure. The open limit switch does
not turn ON after 180 seconds have
elapsed since the exhaust gas outlet
damper opening command was issued.

There was an exhaust gas outlet damper
close failure. The close limit switch does
not turn ON after 180 seconds have
elapsed since the exhaust gas outlet
damper closing command was issued.

The air purge damper shows an
overcurrent. The damper operation
current is above rated value.

The exhaust gas inlet damper shows
an overcurrent. The damper operation
current is above rated value.
9
The exhaust gas outlet damper shows
an overcurrent. The damper operation
current is above rated value.

The exhaust gas bypass damper shows
an overcurrent. The damper operation
current is above rated value.

The air purge damper motor coil
overheats.
